The Foundation Years
Belec was founded in 1987 out of a 1,000 sq ft garage in Chicago. In 1995, we built our first building in Skokie, Illinois and occupied 1,500 sq ft of it. From our earliest days, we understood that commercial and industrial electrical work demands more than technical skill—it requires unwavering commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation.
In the beginning, our work was hands-on and local. We took on projects that others considered too complex or challenging, building a reputation one successful installation at a time. Those early years taught us invaluable lessons about precision, problem-solving, and the importance of standing behind our work. Every wire pulled, every system energized, and every client served helped shape the company we are today.
Evolution & Innovation
In 2019, we moved into a 10,000 sq ft facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. As technology advanced and industries evolved, so did we.
